Coach's here's A formal way to discuss weekly concerns and rules of the Spring League.

Q: Time of Play per Quarter? A: Each Game will have 8 min. quarters now. Refs will keep time on field.

Q: Kicking Game?: A: kickoff team kicks, ball goes out bounds penalty " 5 yards" ; kickoff return team has a choices to spot the ball where it went out bounds or have the kickoff teams rekick 5 yards from original kickoff spot.; kickoff through endzone or downed in the endzone ball is placed on the 10 yard line.

Q:Punt team?: A: divisions 2nd grade through 5th grade can't rush punt team; must declare punt on 4th down; once ball is kicked teams can advances continous play; 6th through high school no punt declaration; live at the snap of the ball.

Q: Age and Grades of Players? A: Please submit birth certificate and/or school grade clarification document

Q: Overtime? A: Coin toss=>Place ball on 20yd and Offense has a chance to make at 1st and goal, then 4 downs to score field goal or touch down, touch down (6) extra point kick (1) point a offensive run from 3 yd line (1) point a forward pass from the 3 yd line (2) Points: If both teams score then repeat the process from the 10 yard line and each opponent has 4 downs to score. This process is repeated twice. If no clear winner, then game ends in tie.

Q:Coaches on the Field? A: Only one coach on the field; Divisions 2 grade to 4 grade then coach can assist in the proper offensive or defensive alignment only. ( coach can not adjust kid to gain a competitive edge before the snap, remember this age bracket is instructional assistant only.) Divisions 5th thru 12th grade only, the coach can vocalize the adjustments, then the child must adjust on their own, if not the referee will penalize team for illegal defense or offensive postion.

Q:Parents Code of Conduct & Coach's Code of conduct? A: Zero tolerance for outburst. Automatic 15 yard penalty for sideline interference. Next infraction 15 plus Time Out taken; 3rd infraction expel parent or coach from game. No exceptions:

Q:Advancing of Fumbles? A: Because of safety concerns once the balls hits the ground no advancing fumbles. Ball is dead.

Q:Legal Offensive Formation? A: There should be 4 players on the LOS to make it a legal offensive formation. You can have more than 4 on the LOS.

Q:Blitz Rules? A:NO TWO BLITZ DEFENDERS EVER. LB'er only blitz from Depth of their alignment from 4 yards. No Twist Blitz with DE stunt inside and LB Blitz to outside; Spread offense with LB'er removed from formation no blitz outside end man on LOS only between either A gap; Corner back blitz must have WR aligned to his side, can not blitz from less than 5 yards from end of LOS. NO FREE BLITZING BY LONG SIDE CORNER EVER.

Q:Defensive Front Alignments? A: Nose guard should align head up and off the ball 1 yard for Divisions 1st grade thru 5th; 6th grade and up should be able to adjust and have nose align on the Def. LOS. Def. can match with Off. if they elect to match man for man. Not mandatory. DE should align outside shade of end man LOS 2pt or 3pt or 4pt stance your choice.

Q:Tackling High? A; Is not a penalty, just need to coach the player on proper fundamentals. If player grabs any part of helmet to bring runner down, 15yd personal foul and verbal warning; next infraction the player sits out a quarter.plus 15yd personal foul penalty; Final infraction player is ejected from game, with 15yd penalty.

Q:Hydration for Youth during and after game? A: Host site must provide water cooler and water for teams. Ounce of preventive, is worth a pound of cure
